GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 567516
Add favicons to smart bookmarks
Last modified: 2018-08-03 19:23:35 UTC
I'm sure I'm not the only one with ~30 smart bookmarks, and having to search the correct smart bookmark is somewhat difficult and maybe a good solution can be to allow to add favicons to them. Either by suggesting the favicon used in the website, from another website, or a local emblem/image. Other information:
I'm pretty sure this is a known bug, but at present I can't find it back.
That's not possible with gtk+'s entrycompletion, we can only set text and markup. We could do this with a custom treeview in the completion, which in practice means a custom completion, which again in practice means a custom entry+completion. I don't know if it would be feasible to ask GTK+ to allow an API like gtk_entry_completion_set_treeview () so we can set a custom treeview? xan? chpe?
