GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 565726
Support for gnome-sudoku on Windows
Last modified: 2014-05-22 21:53:19 UTC
It would be great to have gnome-sudoku supported on the Windows platform. However, this will probably require that these GNOME specific library dependencies are replaced by their GTK+ counterparts: python-gnome, gnome.ui, gnome-print See bug #564655 also.
I removed some of the gnome-stuff the other day. There is only gnomeprint left now. I have a mostly done patch for that waiting for us to branch for 2.26. Will this be enough to make sudoku work on windows? Will you test/report specific bugs for that? I'm more worried about the number-chooser and stuff like that.
Andreas, could test again on windows?
Unfortunately, the new 3.* version of gnome-sudoku won't run on Windows until gobject-introspection and gtk3 are ported there which might not happen for a while.
Closing due to lack of interest. If anybody is interested in working on a Windows port, feel free to reopen after the completion of the Vala port work.
