Please describe the problem:
After reading and deleting mail,the trash bin does not empty

Steps to reproduce:
1. read incoming mail

2. delete mail
3.empty trash 


Actual results:
the trash bin does not empty mail is still there

Expected results:
trash bin to empty

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
trash bin has close to 50 messages that cannot  be deleted

Fixing version on assumption that reporter is using a release more recent than from 2005.
