Description Alex Lancaster 2008-12-17 11:15:10 UTC
In the version of gnome-terminal on Fedora 8 and 9, if you had a launcher for gnome-terminal in the panel and had chosen a particular icon in the launcher, then the icon for that gnome-terminal would be used in the window list as well in metacity's Alt-Tab browser.

This appears to have gone away, or at least I could find no way of setting this icon anymore. This was very useful to be able to distinguish my e-mail terminal which I gave an e-mail icon (running Emacs/GNUs within a screen session) from other regular gnome-terminals.

I can't quite tell if this is part of GNOME-wide change, or if it is specific to gnome-terminal.

Ah, actually scrub that, the icon was set in the "Profile Icon" in the Profile Settings, not in the launcher. Now that Profile Icon setting appears to have disappeared.

That feature has been removed, see bug 126081.
Comment 3 Alex Lancaster 2008-12-17 11:20:44 UTC
And I see it's a dupe.
