Description Adam Dingle 2008-12-12 18:00:46 UTC
The debugger's Inspect/Evaluate is confusing or hard to use in several ways:

1. When the window is first created, it displays a focus rectangle under the Variable column, but if I start typing then my text appears instead in a small, apparently useless search box in the lower right.

2. The Add button confused me at first: I thought it would add a new variable to inspect, but instead it just seemed to close the window. Only later did I realize that it added a watch. Add Watch would be a much clearer name for the button.

3. The window's content area is high enough to make it seem that the window can list multiple expressions to evaluate (like the Watches view), but apparently it can only display a single expression.

bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all old bug reports in Bugzilla which have not seen updates for many years.

If you can still reproduce this issue in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/anjuta/-/issues/

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
