Description Daniel Vianna 2008-12-08 23:57:25 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Every time I save a drawing object (i.e., a rectangle), where I changed the fill type to <none> (i.e., transparent) to xls format (MS Excel), when I reopen the file, the object has the default white fill (not transparent). If otherwise I save it to gnumeric format, the fill type is preserved.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create an empty file
2. Create a rectangle with the drawing toolbar
3. Right click, set fill type to <none>
4. Save the file to MS Excel (tm) 97/2000/XP format
5. reopen the file

Actual results:
The rectangle is white

Expected results:
The rectangle should be transparent

Does this happen every time?
yes

We have both import and export issues there.
Comment 2 Jean Bréfort 2010-01-29 15:50:37 UTC
Fixed the transparency issue, but much work remain for fill and line style export and import. This issue arises because we now support much more style features than in previous gnumeric versions.
