When I right-click a podcast episode and select "download", a progress bar appears in the lower left corner and I can see that the podcast is being downloaded. In a couple of minutes, the progress bar disappears and the podcast episode is no longer being downloaded. No error messages appear that I know of (running Banshee from terminal).

I'm running the banshee-1.4.1-1~intrepid1 package from banshee-team ppa on Ubuntu 8.10. The problem also occurred in banshee-1.2.1.

If you need any more information on this, I would be happy to provide it. I'm interested in getting the bug fixed because I like using Banshee. Thanks for your time.

There are already several bug about problems with podcast downloads. Could you see which one matches best your symptoms are mark this as a duplicate ?
