Description Marek 2008-12-05 10:18:19 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Usually I leave Evolution with folder “Unreaded” email focused - when new email arrives, it is automatically set as read... then when next email arrives, previous email disappears from the list, new email is set as read... and email notification does not notify about incoming email. I was sitting in the office all day long working and haven't noticed any emails coming to my inbox.

It worked fine in previous version (I've just installed Fedora 10), I can recreate this bug on two different machines.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Evolution
2. Select “Unreaded” search folder
3. Wait for incoming email

Actual results:
new email is set as read and no email notification is shown

Expected results:
new email remains unread and email notification is shown

Does this happen every time?
every time since upgrade to Fedora 10 / Gnome 2.24 / Evolution 2.24

Other information:
I think, in British English folder “Unreaded” should be correctly spelled “Unread”... I am not native speaker, but my British spell checker highlights word “unreaded” as incorrectly spelled.

Have you created Unread folder by search folder rules because in 2.24, there is no unread search folder by default.
Comment 2 Marek 2008-12-31 08:27:24 UTC
Nope... when I am upgrading Fedora to the newer version I am not deleting old .evolution folder, so my evolution folder has been created around version 2.14 or something like that.

Why there is not Unread folder in the latest version of Evolution? it's very useful.

Sorry for confusion, By unread folder, i meant to Unmatched folder.
Comment 4 Srinivasa Ragavan 2009-06-20 14:56:33 UTC
Marek, can you right on the unread vfolder and enable 'Unread Search Folder'. <I know its a pain, but things are a bit complicated, and I haven't got enough time to do things>

Restart Evo once you do this and check the bug again. Thanks.

I changed the behaviour slightly in bug #534369, but I'm not 100% sure whether it'll help here too. Could you give a try when the 2.30.2 is released, please? Thanks in advance.
Comment 6 Tobias Mueller 2010-07-31 10:27:45 UTC
Marek, could you test and report back?
I am marked as OBSOLETE for now. Please reopen if the issue still exists.
Comment 7 Marek 2010-08-05 09:06:12 UTC
Thanks, it is working fine for me right now, many thanks!
