gnumeric crashes when opening an old gnumeric file (from 2000)

Please describe the problem: This has been reported in Ubuntu Launchpad as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnumeric/+bug/207498 gnumeric crashed with SIGSEGV when opening old file. This generated an automatic crash report through apport. I use locale pt_BR.UTF-8. An issue with opening old files was recently fixed.
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed. It should be solved in the next software version. You may want to check for a software upgrade. Hi, I am the original bug reporter at launchpad. I am happy to hear that the new version of gnumeric will solve the problem. I also have the file that I can not open.
