Please describe the problem:
When the speech-dispatcher backend is being used, entries in the pronunciation dictionary  were ignored, but when using gnome-speech, they were accounted for.

Patch to be attached.

Hey Jon, if you know of any speech dispatcher users that could test this for you that would be great.  I don't have speech dispatcher installed and would like to avoid doing so if at all possible.

Hi Mike, it works perfectly fine for me, its only a two line patch, so onnest answer it probably doesnt need any further testing.
