GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 562868
Hang on Generating message list (...)
Last modified: 2009-01-27 04:13:40 UTC
Steps to reproduce: 1. Simply started evolution, again. Stack trace:
+ Trace 210383
Other information: I restarted evolution, after a --force-shutdown and when it came back up it did all of it's startup stuff but now I am stuck with the text "Generating message list..." where the message list should be and the tasks on the status bar are: Generating message list (...) Updating Search Folders for 'On This Computer:/INBOX' (...) Fetching summary information for new messages in INBOX (100% complete) Every now and then a "Checking for new mail (...)" will be added to the status bar momentarily but then it disappears. Evolution is otherwise fully functional. It just does not seem to want to generate a message list and seems to be hung up on checking for new mail on a particular server. Now stuck in this state, trying to change folders to another server completely still does not generate a message list. Trouble with one server should not block evolution.
