What were you doing when the application crashed?
I added the number 8 to cell (9,4) (Left bottom of the bottom middle box, then I clicked on "Add Tracker"

To be slightly more specific I put the number 8 in, then selected the Tracking option for from the menu bar with the words, the tool bar was not displayed, and then I clicked add tracker.  I think it was while the 8 was selected but I am not positive.

I suspect this is the issue, 
RuntimeError: pygtk was not compiled with Numeric Python support
But I think this should have been checked in the gentoo Portage ebuild script, but I guess it was not I can Check this if you think it is needed, I completed a game on easy without any issues, although I did not use the tracker.
