Description Leonid 2008-11-29 17:29:24 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I'd like to have a possibility to define a port number different from default value for pop- and imap- servers in mail account setting dialog. For example, google use 995 and 993 port numbers.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to Edit->Parameters
2. Select Accounts
3. Open any POP or IMAP account for editing
4. Try to define port number for POP or IMAP server

Actual results:

Expected results:
I expect that there should be the field for port number

Does this happen every time?
YES

Other information:
I use it under Windows XP Home edition + SP3

Section 8.1 of the docs (Advanced Configuration > Working with Mail Accounts):

"To specify which port you use, just type a colon and the port number after the server name. For example, to connect to port 143 on the server smtp.example.com, specify smtp.example.com:143 as the server name."

But then you will probably run into bug #358480. If so, please close as duplicate of that bug. If not, please close as duplicate of bug #209739.
