Description Ruben Grimm 2008-11-27 17:56:02 UTC
Many archive files come with a wrong filename extensio, so when opening it with file-roller it won't open correctly. The user has to guess what extension could be the right one and is sometimes correct. If you are very unlucky the file is no archive at all. So I think it would be great, if file-roller would check wich archive type to use by perhaps the header of the file or something like that and not by the filename extension.

Other information:
I think in the version 2.22.x I didn't had this problem, but I'm not quite sure.
