Description huanglijun.3@gmail.com 2008-11-26 03:53:15 UTC
Please describe the problem:
In the Calendars View , I saved an event (contain an attachment ) to local disk as a .ics file.

after importing the .ics file, the event is imported to calendar ,but I can not find the attachment when I open it.

I think it maybe due to :
1. it is unsupportted. (not a bug)
2. save attachment failed.
3. import attachment failed.

thanks a lot.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Ctrl+3 to go to Valendars View
2. Right click on an event which contain an attachment
3 [details]. Select "Save as" from the context menu to save the event.
4. From file menu, choose 'Import' to the saved event.

Actual results:
the attachment is missed

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Hi Andre Klapper:

this is the saved iCalendar file. and the file which mentioned in ATTACH section is empty.
Comment 3 André Klapper 2013-08-26 11:32:50 UTC
Still an issue in 3.8.5 - importer says it has attachments, but it does not show any.
Comment 4 André Klapper 2021-05-19 12:14:11 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new bug report ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
