GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 561798
there is no option for wifi cards in PPPoE connection
Last modified: 2009-04-08 21:52:02 UTC
Add option for wifi cards in PPPoE connection
I can confirm this is missing in Ubuntu Intrepid. I had to manually connect using "sudo pppoeconf" and "sudo pon dsl-provider". Disconnect with "sudo poff". Apparently this was an "oversight" and supposed to get fixed sometime...
but "pppoeconf" only in debian based I am using openSUSE and pppoe-setup is not working with wireless
I can confirm this and this is a very useful option. My father in law (basic user) is starting to use Linux now and I had to make a workaround (that doesn't work 100%) for him to get connected. I would appreciate a lot if you add this option in a future release! Distro used: Ubuntu 8.10
