Description Percy Leonhardt 2008-11-19 20:38:06 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When mails get marked as read or I am marking mails manually as unread their state doesn't get saved when quitting Evolution i.e. on next start up the mails have their previous state.

I found out that this happens because I have selected to empty the trash folder on every exit. When disabling this option the problem does not occur. Setting it to 'once a month' is a workaround I am using at the moment.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Evolution
2. Make sure that in the email settings the option to empty the trash folder on exit is active and set to 'every time'
3. Mark some new mails as read or some read mails as unread
4. Close Evolution
5. Open Evolution again

Actual results:
The new mails (that were previously marked as read) are now again marked as new. The same happens for mails that were marked as new. They are now again marked as read.

Expected results:
Evolution should save the state of the mails so that on next start up the correct state is shown.

Does this happen every time?
Yes, if the above mentioned option is set to 'every time'.

Other information:
Happens with Evolution from Ubuntu 8.10 and Mandriva 2009.

Percy, I have tried the same with 2.26.x series of Evo. It works for me. Please reopen if you see it again. Thanks
