GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 561301
With dual monitors, applications that use the notification area won't work on the second monitor
Last modified: 2009-05-31 12:12:05 UTC
Please describe the problem: I have a dual monitor setup, and each runs it's own instance of X. On the second monitor if I start an application like Banshee or Pidgin, they start up, but they won't have an icon in the notification tray. If I close pidgin, it closes completely instead of minimizing to tray. Steps to reproduce: 1. Dual monitors running seperate instances of X 2. Start application that uses Notification area Actual results: No icon appears in notification area Expected results: Icon appears in tray Does this happen every time? Yes Other information:
Might not have been clear enough in the steps to reproduce, but this only applies to the second monitor, the first one works just fine.
