Description edajai 2008-11-15 16:10:54 UTC
Please describe the problem:
The previous smart lists that i created in 1.2 is not working under version 1.4 in Ubuntu Intrepid after i updated. I then deleted the whole smart playlist and tried creating a new one but the problem persists.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new smart playlist
2. Choose 'File Location" option
3. type in the file location
4.Save

Actual results:
A Smart Playlist is created with no contents.

Expected results:
The playlist must show the songs under the directory that i entered.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

Other information:
It was working previously in 1.2

Are you specifying the whole directory path ?
If yes, see bug #548128 for an explanation of what might be happening.
Comment 2 edajai 2008-11-15 17:04:39 UTC
No.. i used the 'Starts with' and 'contains' options but neither seem to work. The same playlist worked in 1.2. After updating to 1.4 only this smart playlist seemed to have stopped working.
I'm running ubuntu intrepid 32bit.
and my songs are in a ntfs partition.
Comment 3 edajai 2008-11-15 17:10:17 UTC
The smart playlist works whrn i add just the directory name instead of the path.
Before it was "/Ent/songs/Eng/" but when i changed it to just "Eng" it works. But the previous setting used to work in version 1.2
