Evolution Mail and Calendar: IMAP folder already mark...
Last modified: 2010-03-30 11:18:31 UTC
IMAP folder already marked as "Copy folder content locally for off line operation" but when I went off line, quite a few messages still missing. Distribution: Ubuntu 8.10 (intrepid) Gnome Release: 2.24.1 2008-10-24 (Ubuntu) BugBuddy Version: 2.24.1
Created attachment 122652 [details] I already marked "copy folder content locally..."
What kind of folder is this? What does "missing" mean? Are you sure they are not downloaded, or do you just have a search view enabled, or Junk/Trash messages not included? Does Evo list the same number of messages in the preferences dialog than e.g. another application accessing the folder (if there is one)?
It is not Junk/Trash folder. I am using GMAIL IMAP so this is a just an IMAP folder. I check it against the Zimbra Desktop IMAP client and they both have the same number of messages. In evolution, the message header was there but the body and attachement (if any) were not downloaded. After clicking "Download messages for offline op..." evolution did the Synch without any error and then I went offline. Any message the I read before can be displayed properly with message body and attachment. But if the messages that I have not read only show me the header and no attachement (if any). My impression is that after clicking "Download messages for offline op..." I should get all messaged downloaded. Hope this help.
