Problem still exists with 1.4.2. Is there no solution to this problem?
Comment 2 skalka 2009-03-24 02:17:50 UTC
If you launch banshee by this command (dbus-launch banshee-1) it should work, I found this workaround on the Arch Linux forums.

Comment 3 Samuel Gyger (IRC: thinkabout) 2009-03-24 08:45:06 UTC
thx I found it too, but workarounds should be removed by fixing bugs. :)
Comment 4 Victor Vargas 2010-08-17 22:30:32 UTC
No news from banshee 1.7.3.x :( ?
Comment 5 Gabriel Burt 2010-09-01 04:24:13 UTC
All proxies except ones that use Javascript to resolve ("auto" ones) should work in 1.7.4/master/1.7.5.
Comment 6 Samuel Gyger (IRC: thinkabout) 2012-03-11 11:35:53 UTC
I would say it's fixed with that. No use in implementing a JavaScript engine just for the proxy settings. Out of scope for a media player.
