Description Darkwolf 2008-11-12 21:38:56 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Hello,

I discovered that in the newer version of The Gimp, some strange characters appeared just after le level of zoom.

It seems that it shows the level (for example 80%), but put a kind of square with numbers between "80" and "%".

To have a more precise look, you can see to this this screenshot :

Steps to reproduce:
No idea. The problem is still there with my computer and my wife's one (all of them on XP SP3). No problem at work on XP SP2 or Vista SP1

Actual results:
--

Expected results:
Clearly see the level of zoom without any strange characters

Does this happen every time?
Yes

This is actually a problem with your system font missing the glyph for U+2005 FOUR-PER-EM SPACE.

It's a duplicate of bug #556079, which is closed as duplicate of bug #63633.
