GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 560481
GT resize when scrolling between tabs with compiz
Last modified: 2008-11-12 13:10:41 UTC
Please describe the problem: With compiz, scrolling rapidely between tabs using different font-size makes the window becoming smaller and smaller (or bigger and bigger). This bug should be reported to compiz devs, but I think the real problem is that gnome-terminal is the only application (I known) that changes the window-size depending on tabs... So, this bug should maybe be linked with a usability bug I'm going to write right now. Steps to reproduce: 1. use compiz 2. have two profiles ("test1" and "test2"), with different font-size 3. open a window with tab 1 and 3 in test1, and tab 2 in test2 4. scroll up and down with the mouse-wheel on the tabs-bar Actual results: the window is becoming smaller and smaller (or bigger and bigger, depending of the font size...) Expected results: first, the size must stay the same for each terminal secondly, the window-size should stay the same... Does this happen every time? yes Other information:
Nothing compiz specific here, happens with metacity too. This is by design in g-t.
(In reply to comment #1) > Nothing compiz specific here, happens with metacity too. This is by design in > g-t. > No, it doens't have the same bug in metacity. I know for the design on g-t, I dislike it and I've done a bugreport about it, but there is a specific bug with compiz : the window could become 4 caracters by 2...
Right, I wasn't reading comment 0 carefully enough. That is bug 528304. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 528304 ***
