rhythmbox won't start. it worked before withouth problems.

i even tried cleaning all configuraton and launching with new user accounts.

When was 'before'?  What has changed on your system since then?

In future, please copy stack traces and other relevant details into the bug report here, rather than pointing to the original bug report.

i think i upgraded from hardy to intrepid. I can't say for sure what was the last version that worked. I was doing daily updates in intrepid and rhythmbox just started crashing. i thought that it was plugin related, so i removed all custom plugins and configuration, but that didn't help.

There were additional updates to rhythmbox during beta and rc stage of intrepid but none helped.


i'm using the same version on my computer at work and rhythmbox works as expected.

is there anything else that i could try to get it working?


p.s. if needed i can copy all traces from launchpad to here.

I have found what the problem was: rhythmbox vas using wrong libpython ( the one i have installed woth nvidia gelato) , not the system installed one. When i removed custom one from path and rerun ldconfig, rhythmbox started and is working without error.
