Please describe the problem:
the visible selection doesn't update when clicking on files in the main file view in the file selection dialog. the user experience that the click didn't do anything, but double-clicking on a file still opens it.
also, if clicking in the folder shortcut sidebar, the selection in the file view to the right does update...

Steps to reproduce:
1. run gtk-demo
2. try the open file picker.
3. click on a file in the main view
4. click on another file in the main view


Actual results:
the other time you click a file it doesn't update the visible selection
