Please describe the problem:
when I switch the boolean value of the property show_desktop (locate it into the /->apps->nautilus->preferences), the icons in my desktop don't hidden.  This problem occur when I use the LANG=es_CL, but when I use the LANG=en_EN, this problem don't happen.

Steps to reproduce:
1. open gconf-editor
2. I go to /->apps->nautilus->preferences
3. change the boolean value of show_desktop property


Actual results:
Nothing, the icons don't hidden

Expected results:
I expect my icons in the desktop will be hidden

Does this happen every time?

Other information:
I think that It is work fine in lang=en_EN because the name folder is "Desktop" otherwise in lang=es_CL the name folder is "Escritorio"
