GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 558708
crash in Evolution Mail and Calendar: This is bug report 4 for...
Last modified: 2008-11-01 01:58:41 UTC
What were you doing when the application crashed? This is bug report 4 for a given session where I have been working with tasks. I believe the commonality is the saving of a new task, and then immediately opening it back up to edit a value and then resaving. This is the case when I forget to set a field so I reopen the record I just created to edit it. The issue seems to be related to behavior at evolution:5811. Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed. It should be solved in the next software version. You may want to check for a software upgrade. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 544187 ***
Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry to bother you with an issue that has already been fixed. I see that version 2.24 contains the fix. Version 2.24 is currently upstream of the latest Debian package (http://packages.qa.debian.org/e/evolution.html). I'll take a look at packaging 2.24 and passing it into Debian sid. Thanks again.
