GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 558132
Add a Web Page field to Memos
Last modified: 2019-06-07 14:20:20 UTC
Memos don't have a Web Page field like tasks do, but if I right-click on a memo I see a grayed out "Open Web Page" item in the popup menu, which is useless. Two suggestions: 1) Add a Web Page field to memos. 2) Tasks hides the Web Page field in the Status Details dialog. Apart from it having nothing to do with status, it's also pretty inconvenient to get to. Let's move the Web Page field into the main editor window for both memos and tasks, maybe with a View menu option to hide it.
this one has some overlap with Bug#555130
Old bug I'm bumping for the heck of it. I'm currently using Evolution 3.12 Tasks to access OCR text produced by an automated network scanner. System produces CalDav VTODO data for an Owncloud server (OCR in the 'DESCRIPTION:' and a link to the PDF in the 'URL:' field). Works a peach but VJOURNAL would be better suited since time management isn't necessary. Lack of Memos 'Web Page' field is a problem though. So are there any plans yet for a Memos 'Web Page' field? If not, is there some method to get Evolution Memos to recognize a URI attachment/link rather than inline BASE64?
Let's do this in one go, at bug #233065. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 233065 ***
