Description Thomas Baag 2008-10-22 15:15:44 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I can't connect to my campus vpn because it requires setting the pppd passive option.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Add a new vpn connection via network-manager
2. Add "passive" to pppd options text field
3. Try to establish the new connection

Actual results:
Message box containing "Validating options failed" and pppd doesn't get called

Expected results:
I expect that pppd is called with passive option and waits for lcp pakets from oppsite side after negotiating.

Does this happen every time?
Yes

bugzilla.gnome.org is being shut down in favor of a GitLab instance.
We are closing all old bug reports and feature requests in GNOME Bugzilla which have not seen updates for a long time.

If you still use NetworkManager and if you still see this bug / want this feature in a recent and supported version of NetworkManager, then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/-/issues/

Thank you for creating this report and we are sorry it could not be implemented (workforce and time is unfortunately limited).
