GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 557435
please add "passive" option to nn-ppp-starter
Last modified: 2020-11-12 14:33:47 UTC
Please describe the problem: I can't connect to my campus vpn because it requires setting the pppd passive option. Steps to reproduce: 1. Add a new vpn connection via network-manager 2. Add "passive" to pppd options text field 3. Try to establish the new connection Actual results: Message box containing "Validating options failed" and pppd doesn't get called Expected results: I expect that pppd is called with passive option and waits for lcp pakets from oppsite side after negotiating. Does this happen every time? Yes Other information: Description: Ubuntu 8.04.1 Release: 8.04 network-manager-pptp: Installiert:0.6.5+svnhead2574-0ubuntu1 Mögliche Pakete:0.6.5+svnhead2574-0ubuntu1 Versions-Tabelle: *** 0.6.5+svnhead2574-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/universe Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
NM bugzilla reorganization... sorry for the bug spam.
bugzilla.gnome.org is being shut down in favor of a GitLab instance. We are closing all old bug reports and feature requests in GNOME Bugzilla which have not seen updates for a long time. If you still use NetworkManager and if you still see this bug / want this feature in a recent and supported version of NetworkManager, then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/-/issues/ Thank you for creating this report and we are sorry it could not be implemented (workforce and time is unfortunately limited).
