Description Nick Jenkins 2008-10-21 01:59:51 UTC
Eye of Gnome seems a good image viewer, but could some keyboard shortcuts be added please to make using it quicker? In particular:
* Escape to close the application (in addition to Alt-F4, etc) - want a single keypress to make processing lots of images super-quick and mouse-free.
* Delete key to move the current image to the trash _without_ prompting (or add a preference to turn the prompting off?)
* A shortcut (suggest F2 to be the same as Nautilus) to rename the current image file from within EoG.
* Maybe a key (e.g. F7) to move the current image to a new directory.

Example / precedent app for all of the above: The Irfanview image viewer on Windows.

A 4-in-1-feature-request. :-)

This is working in 2.24.

Please see bug 541967 and bug 543158.

Ah yes, that's an older one. Renaming would be bug 167216 and moving is pretty much the same functionality.

Thank you so much for pointing me towards the right places, and for adding the escape key closing in 2.24!
