Please describe the problem:
when extract dialog box is opened to specify location to extract archive to.  The default 'desktop' folder is highlighted but when the extract button is clicked, nothing happens.

In order for the extraction to commence, I have to manually double-click on the 'desktop' folder before clicking on the extract button.

note: even a single click on the 'desktop' folder does not work.
