GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 556305
Man page for gnome-open
Last modified: 2019-02-23 02:41:36 UTC
Hi, in bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libgnome/+bug/185171 Jonathan Carter provided a man page for gnome-open (which I tweaked slightly); could you consider adding it? Thanks,

Needs Makefile.am magic too, do you have a patch?
Created attachment 120588 [details] [review] Add gnome-open.1 man page in gnome-data/ Here you go; I initially pondered a man/, then went for doc/, but in the end noticed that there's already a gnome-options.7 man page in gnome-data/.
Makefile.am looks good to me. About the man page itself, it seems kind of useless to document all those stock command line options that are completely unused in gnome-open (no bonobo, no session mgmt)... Kjartan?
Yeah, agree that documenting unused command line options is suboptimal. Other than that I think this could go in.
Should move this to gvfs-open now that gnome-open has been deprecated I guess.
libgnome and libgnomeui were only used in GNOME 2 and are not under active development anymore.
