Description sam tygier 2008-10-08 21:09:31 UTC
opening the image
http://launchpadlibrarian.net/7052710/P1120104.jpg
causes GIMP to use up all available RAM in 2.4 and 2.6 versions

other applications open it without errors.

Isn't this the known Olympus MakerNotes bug in libexif?
Comment 2 Sven Neumann 2008-10-08 22:22:17 UTC

Known bug in libexif. Fixed in CVS, but that fix has still not been released.
