Description freggy1 2008-10-08 12:38:04 UTC
I activated Tomboy's back-end in Beagle, and because of that, Tomboy was started and became active in the notification area. Later I tried to add the Tomboy applet to my GNOME panel. When I did this, I got this error message:

The panel encountered a problem while loading "OAFIID:TomboyApplet".

The Tomboy applet was not added to the panel.

If I close tomboy first, and then add it to the panel, it works without problem.

tomboy-0.12.0 and gnome-panel-2.24.0 on Mandriva 2009.0 x86_64.

You cannot run Tomboy in the panel if it's already running in the notification area.

Sorry for the error, it is irritating...see discussion in bug 414789.
