Description rom 2008-10-07 08:44:53 UTC
Please describe the problem:
If there is a connection problem while retrieving mails using imap, the "cancel" button has no effect : it stills tries to download e-mails, the task is not canceled.

As evolution waits for all tasks to be complete, it doesn't close if imap is still trying to retrieve mails.

Steps to reproduce:
1. have a connection problem (configure a fake proxy should simulate the problem)
2. retrieve imap mails
3. confirm that "cancel" button doesn't really close the task
4. try to close evolution

Just go offline in network-manager and evo will close, too
Comment 2 rom 2008-10-07 09:56:03 UTC
OK, thank you for the information. But this is still not a solution :)

There can be an imap connection problem independent of internet connection (typically, everything works except imap server, which takes a long time to respond).
