Description walt 2008-10-04 18:04:09 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When inserting a multi-track (multi-chapter?) DVD, totem opens with only the first track showing in the playlist, thus the other tracks can't be viewed.

If I use the 'Movie' drop-down menu, however, and click 'Play disc' then totem rereads the playlist and everything works correctly. This extra step should not be necessary and is very confusing.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Insert a mult-track DVD and pick 'open with Movie Player'.
2.
3.

Actual results:
Movie Player displays only the first track of the DVD. You can't view the other tracks at all.

Expected results:
Movie Player should display all of the tracks in the playlist.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

Other information:
I can use the 'Movie' drop-down menu and choose the 'Play Disc' item to display all of the tracks correctly in the playlist.
