"I'm not sure what precipitated the crash. I was downloading mail for offline use. I get a lot of email, and have a lot of filters. I'd be happy to try and replicate it if you have any tips for me on doing that."

This should have been pre 2.24.1 if so, I fixed the content info bad loop in it. The problem was that, content info was stored incorrectly and I fixed it in 2.24.1. So it might crash with pre 2.24.1 data.
