Description Jonathan Blandford 2008-09-24 15:45:01 UTC
Right now, the screen resolution capplet and the notification area popup draw their own labels. It looks weird when they pop it up, and are out of sync. See attached sshot for an example.

Propose to move this code to the g-s-d plugin and centralize the drawing of it there.

Both programs use exactly the same code from libgnomedesktop to draw the labels (GnomeRRLabeler), so I don't know why the label windows have different sizes.

Do both programs display the same string for you?

Does this always happen, or do you have to fiddle with the capplet first (e.g. change some controls and *then* bring up the notification area popup)?

Ping. Do you still get this problem with 2.24.latest or 2.25.x?
