GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 553375
Headers and footers of printed pages are random garbage
Last modified: 2008-09-23 08:54:38 UTC
Please describe the problem: When I print (or print preview) a page from Epiphany, the header and footer are not (page name, url) and page number or similar, but are instead random high-codepoint garbage. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a web page. 2. Hit Print. 3. Give the resulting page to a contractor. Actual results: I look surprised when I notice that the header and footer are a bunch of idiographs rather than anything legible. Expected results: Fewer surprises. Does this happen every time? Yes; it is reproducible on others’ machines, but with different garbage for the same page. This suggests to me that it’s using the contents of uninitialized memory. Other information:
Created attachment 119212 [details] an example of said garbage
