Description cicoandcico 2008-09-20 15:22:13 UTC
Please describe the problem:
with the introduction of the new gvfs backend in 2.22, gnome burn utility has lost the ability to create files (a text file, as a example) in the burn:/// meta-directory.

Steps to reproduce:
1. open burn:/// in nautilus
2. right click => create document => empty file

Actual results:
Error notice: operation not supported by backend

Expected results:
the file is created

Does this happen every time?
yes

I'm not sure whether this is wanted. The burn:// meta-directory is not supposed to be used as a regular directory.

for me, it was useful. i could sort files into folders directly on the media, rather than preparing the folders on hd before, and then having to delete it.

moreover, the burn:// folder looks like... a folder :) ihmo, a user would expect that all the tipical folder functions were supported.
