Description Jonathan Ernst 2008-09-19 13:55:39 UTC
Some example of FROM headers that are badly interpreted by Evolution altough they appear find in gmail and other clients :

Probably created using Outlook :

from: =?ISO-8859-1?Q?Ch=E2telain_Cindy_<xxx.xxx@xxxx.xx>?=

Created using Thunderbird :

From: =?ISO-8859-1?Q?Fr=E9d=E9ric_Bize?= <xxx.xxx@xxxx.xx>

This makes the From column unreadable for people communicating with people that have non ASCII characters in their names (I have also a russian friends who is experimenting the same problem).

I don't know if the encoding is correct, but Evolution should be liberal in what it accepts and thorough in what it sends...
