The TNEF plugins works quite well, however it would be better to hide the winmail.dat attachment and only show the files found inside the tnef file.

I agree entirely with the suggestion to hide winmail.dat attachments. I'll still close this as a duplicate of bug #563579 (which actually was filed later) because I already elaborated there on this idea (in the fourth comment) to keep this discussion centralized.
