GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 550121
Date Control Not Working in Reconcile Dialog - WinXP SP3 / Vista SP1
Last modified: 2018-06-29 22:09:27 UTC
Please describe the problem: When trying to specify a statement date in the reconciliation dialog it is impossible to specify a different date than the one which comes up by default in the dialog. The GUI control for this has been non-functional for a couple of versions, but in versions 2.2.5 and earlier we were able to type in a different date. That does not work in 2.2.6. Once we advance beyond the date field, the date reverts to the one which came up by default when we went into the dialog (08/01/2008 on our systems). Steps to reproduce: 1. Open an account. 2. Choose Reconcile from the toolbar. 3. Try to change the date from the one which originally populates the date field on the dialogs (the interest payment or reconcile information dialogs). 4. Advance beyond the date field in the dialog. The date reverts to what it was when the dialog was opened. Actual results: As stated above, every time. Reproducible on all four of our systems -- two WinXP SP3 and two Vista SP1. The date can not be changed. Expected results: I would expect the date to change. Does this happen every time? Yes Other information: Love GnuCash, but this bug is a show-stopper for this version. We went back to 2.2.5.
This problem has been fixed for 2.2.7, which should be released very shortly. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 545722 ***

I searched for bugs in date control per se, but somehow didn't find 545722 with the search engine.
