Desktop links fail to include anything after a question mark

Please describe the problem: I create links to bug reports on my desktop, and they fail to link back Steps to reproduce: 1. Open up this very bug report with firefox 2. Move mouse to the address bar, and drag the icon to the desktop, inorder to create a link 3. Double click the link, and a page will open in firefox missing everything and including the '?' Actual results: I don't get to the webpage that I linked to Expected results: It would go Does this happen every time? any time there is a '?' character in the url Other information:

Note, that I think this bug exists in the same way on both hardy and intrepid of ubuntu, but right now, I am testing on intrepid. But for sure, this problem exists in Hardy Heron Ubuntu.
Confirmed. I can reproduce this on GNOME 2.22.3 (Ubuntu Hardy 8.04). Thanks for the report, Dan.
Nautilus (or gio?) bug, I'd say. It works fine in the panel.
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed. It should be solved in the next software version. You may want to check for a software upgrade. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 518481 ***
