This seems to be a crash in Exempi, closing as NOTGNOME and CC-ing Hubert. Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. However, this application does not track its bugs in the GNOME Bugzilla. We kindly ask you to report the bug to the application authors. For a selective list of other bug tracking systems please consult http://live.gnome.org/Bugsquad/TriageGuide/NonGnome. If the affected third party application has a bug tracking system you should investigate whether a bug for the reported issue is already filed in this system. If it has not been filed yet please do so. Also ensure that both bug reports contain a link to each other. Thanks in advance!
What version of Exempi ? This bug has already been reported and fixed, but if the distribution didn't update the package.... also I would be interested in getting the file that make this crash.
rpm -q exempi returns exempi-2.0.1-1.fc9.x86_64 This happens with regularly with any photos on my system. Is this fixed in 2.0.2? If so, I'll raise it in the Red Hat bugzilla.
unlikely to be fixed. Can I get a sample file for me to test?
Created attachment 117556 [details] Example jpeg photo Hopefully nothing too embarrassing about this example, apart from its quality :-) Right mouse-clicking on this image has caused nautilus to crash a couple of times, but currently it is working properly, so it may take several attempts before it finally dies.

Building exempi 2.1.0 (Fedora 10) seemed to resolve this for me. However I just did a straight library drop-in, and haven't thoroughly check for side-effects yet.
