GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 549559
Add support for audio DVDs
Last modified: 2018-11-03 13:03:32 UTC
You can use http://dvd-audio.sourceforge.net/ to create an unencrypted, LPCM only audio DVD. Encrypted audio DVDs will require dvdcpxm's code to decrypt the files. dvdcpxm is available at http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1027108#post1027108 See also http://avisynth.org/mediawiki/DVDAGuide
Do you have samples we could try this with ? (And maybe it's now fixed) Otherwise we'll have to close this (10 years later).
I bought this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0000E331R/ for Jan in May 2009. DVD-audio is described as ""extinct" by 2007." in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD-Audio http://avisynth.nl/index.php/DVDAGuide (updated URL) has information about different programs that can decrypt the streams. Sounds like GStreamer would need a parser for MLP streams, similar to VLC's mlp.c: http://git.videolan.org/?p=vlc.git;a=blob;f=modules/packetizer/mlp.c;h=ab78068ad5298aa6d8611a1ab81f435935c728f0;hb=HEAD
