You can use http://dvd-audio.sourceforge.net/ to create an unencrypted, LPCM only audio DVD. Encrypted audio DVDs will require dvdcpxm's code to decrypt the files.

DVD-audio is described as ""extinct" by 2007." in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD-Audio

http://avisynth.nl/index.php/DVDAGuide (updated URL) has information about different programs that can decrypt the streams. Sounds like GStreamer would need a parser for MLP streams, similar to VLC's mlp.c:
