using GIMP 2.4.7, crashes when opening this file:

Opens just fine here. What makes you think that GIMP would crash? What exactly is your operating system? Where did you get your copy of GIMP from? And why are you looking at pictures of bloody weapons?

1) Windows says, it crashed. The strange Windows dialogue where you can report issues to Microsoft appears. Does the informations in there will help you?
2) WindowsXP, SP2, german; Core 2 Duo T7200, 2 GB Ram
