GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 549265
Menu shortcuts should not be triggered when the remote desktop view is being used
Last modified: 2008-08-25 12:17:45 UTC
Please describe the problem: Menu shortcut keypresses such as CTRL-N and CTRL-W should be sent to the remote system when using one. Currently if I press CTRL-W even when the mouse pointer is inside the remote desktop view the Machine->Close menu item is triggered and the connection is closed. This should not happen - the CTRL-W should just be sent to the remote system. The menu shortcuts should probably work though when the remote desktop view is not active (mouse pointer is outside the view, perhaps?). Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a remote desktop connection. 2. Move the mouse pointer inside the remote desktop view. 3. Press CTRL-W. Actual results: The remote connection is closed. Expected results: The CTRL-W keypress should be sent to the remote system and the connection should not be closed. Does this happen every time? Yes. Other information:
