Description Reed Hedges 2008-08-23 02:10:42 UTC
Instead it should just close the main window, but continue running (as long as the status bar icon is there to control it).

I often exit rhythbox accidentally by closing the main window, even though I want it to keep running (playing music, or serving music via DAAP, etc.) I expect it to keep running since the status-bar icon is a "persistent" thing. The "Quit" menu item (in the status icon's menu and in the main window's Music menu) can be used to explicitly quit the program. There should probably also be an option to disable this behavior in the preferences. In a lot of ways, these days having a music player available in the background is more like a "service" than an "application" that you use for a while then exit.

Anyway,

Thanks
