Description David Staer 2008-08-22 15:08:28 UTC
In the main menubar for gnome, it would be nice to be able to mount and unmount removable media from the "Places" menu. Two ways to do this would either be checkboxes on each line of entries for removable media, or the absence/presence of an icon to clearly indicate whether the media/partition is mounted or not. This would require the media to be displayed even when unmounted.

You can already mount stuff. The unmount part is tracked in bug 556888.
